Background

Ye Xiu’s origins within Happy are unclear; however, at the age of 15, he ran away from home to play games (not related to “Glory”). During ten years of absence, he returned home several times, but due to family disapproval of his gaming career, he often left in frustration.

“Glory” is an online game in the novel featuring a total of 24 professions. The game’s high maneuverability allows for a significant influence of operational skills and competitiveness. When Ye Xiu left home on December 3, the game had just launched. He was among the first players to log in at midnight, and under the character name One Autumn Leaf, he became famous within a month due to his undefeated streak in solo matches. Over the years, he rose to a legendary status. Due to uncertainties surrounding his identity, he used his younger brother’s ID card to register as a professional player, later achieving top-tier status within “Glory”. Due to his expertise across all professions, Ye Xiu was colloquially known as the Encyclopedia of Glory.

Relationships

Ye Chen: Ye Xiu’s identical twin brother. As Ye Xiu had no ID due to leaving home, he used Ye Chen’s ID to participate in competitions, with few knowing his true name. Ye Xiu qualified for competitions under his brother’s identity until the eighth contest when he finally used his own name.

Moqing: Ye Xiu met Moqing in a net café after leaving home, and they quickly became good friends and strong partners within the game for three years. Tragically, Moqing passed away in a car accident before they could achieve glory together.

Mochan: Moqing’s younger sister. Due to her brother’s relationship with Ye Xiu, they have been acquainted for over a decade. After Moqing’s passing, Ye Xiu has supported Mochan, who aims to be a supporting player by Ye Xiu’s side, becoming one of his strongest allies in competitions.

Dao Xian: Ye Xiu initially met Dao Xian while gaming at the net café. After the formation of the Glory alliance, Dao Xian founded the Happy team, inviting Ye Xiu and Moqing to join.
