Rahu is a significant character in the comic “Westbound,” sharing a deep friendship with Tathagata.

One of the Four Kings of the Asura, known as the “Mad King,” he occupies “Ruined City” and commands the Asura Dragon Riders. He is the most powerful king among the entire berserker fighting god race.

When Emperor Shitian led his army to attack Ruined City, Rahu knocked down Emperor Shitian’s sword and shattered his soul. He also held his own against Venerable Baoling in battle, demonstrating his formidable strength.

When joining forces with the other three kings to attack the Heavenly Palace, he was persuaded by Tathagata to kill the other three kings, unify the Asura, and withdraw his troops from the Heavenly Palace.

Teenage Years

The Asura youth, You Yu, endured the harsh training of Liao Ji, his teacher and one of the 99 demons who were ancestors of the Asura, while also losing the most important person in his life, “Shi Yu.” Enraged, You Yu lashed out in the coming-of-age ceremony, and his immense power attracted the attention of King Ku Pozhi, leading to a battle.

Following King Ku’s advice, the lost You Yu began to wander, traversing the three Asura cities, constantly questioning combat and honing himself, finally gaining the approval of King Zhan and King Yuan through self-reflection.

Eventually, You Yu received unanimous agreement at the meeting, earning the title of King and officially changing his name to Rahu, with the title “Mad King.”

Middle Age

Leading troops with the other three Asura Kings to attack the Heavenly Realm, he fought against Venerable Baoling without being at a disadvantage, demonstrating his formidable strength.

Early Life Experiences

Rahu was originally named You Yu, his origins a mystery. He lost his parents at a young age, likely dying in the brutal war with the gods. Lonely and helpless, he was adopted by a tribe called the Gangbu tribe. During this period, You Yu was physically weak and often bullied by his peers. Fortunately, during these difficult days, he had the gentle care of his sister and the companionship of his friend Shi Yu, which brought a glimmer of light to his gloomy childhood.

However, fate took a sudden turn, and a sudden disaster completely upended You Yu’s life.
