Lapis Lazuli Bodhisattva is a character from the novel “Da Feng Dageng Ren” (大奉打更人), written by “Selling Newspapers Boy” (卖报小郎君).

Lapis Lazuli Bodhisattva is one of the four great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism, wielding two Dharma Forms: the Ascetic Form and the Colorless Lapis Lazuli Form. She is dressed in snow-white robes, with long, flowing hair, exhibiting a strong Western Regions (Xiyu) flair. Her unique lapis lazuli-colored eyes are particularly striking. Before the war, she collaborated with Xu Pingfeng, planning to capture Xu Qi’an, but ultimately failed and was defeated by the Superintendent (Jianzheng). Fortunately, she was rescued by Gara Tree (Galuo Shu) and the Guardian of Guangxian Monastery (Guangxian Yuan Shou), recovering completely. However, after the Great Calamity, she could not escape her fate, and was eventually imprisoned in the dungeon of the Si Tian Jian (Supervisory Office of the Astronomical Phenomena), her spotless jade feet and pristine white robes the only remnants of her captivating beauty as she faced the cold, unyielding walls.

Lapis Lazuli Bodhisattva is a female Bodhisattva clad in a white robe, with a trailing skirt. Unlike the typical shaved heads of Buddhist monks and nuns, she possesses long, lustrous black hair that flows freely. She has distinct Western Regions features, with well-defined facial contours and rare lapis lazuli-colored eyes. Her pure white attire and refined, otherworldly aura give her the appearance of a goddess, immaculate, with jade feet that never touch the ground.

Character Experiences

Lapis Lazuli Bodhisattva is the only female Bodhisattva among the four great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism. Before the Battle of the Capital, she met and collaborated with Xu Pingfeng, attempting to capture Xu Qi’an and bring him back to Aranto. However, the plan failed, and she was stopped and defeated by the Superintendent. Afterward, she was rescued by Gara Tree Bodhisattva and the Guardian of Guangxian Monastery and regained her health. After the Great Calamity, she was imprisoned in the dungeon of the Si Tian Jian.
