Qijing, also known as Tian Yu Zhi (天羽织) or Xiao Yu (小羽), is a female character in the Chinese comic “Journey to the West” (西行纪), created by Zheng Jianhe (郑健和) and Deng Zhihui (邓志辉).
Originally, Qijing was the first flame in the universe, residing in the Spirit Mountain (灵山) in the Western Heavens. She possessed extraordinary power capable of influencing all living beings. Sixteen years ago, she was taken away by Tang Sanzang (唐三藏) and his party. She sought help from Sun Wukong (孙悟空) but was instead captured by Emperor Shitian (帝释天). Fortunately, Tathagata (如来) rescued her and entrusted her to the Dragon King of Tianyu Mountain (天羽山龙王), where she transformed into a Dragon Girl, inheriting the Dragon King’s bloodline. When the Heavenly Army (天众) harassed Tianyu Mountain, Qijing was severely injured and revealed her true form. She was then rescued by Bai Lang (白狼), restarting the journey to return the scriptures.
After Sun Wukong was freed, she also returned to her Dragon-Human form.
Abilities
She possesses the ability to sense future events and can purify dark souls.
Story
Originally, she was the first flame in the universe, existing on the Spirit Mountain in the Western Heavens, possessing magical power that could influence all living beings.
Sixteen years ago, she was taken away by Tang Sanzang and his party. She sought help from Sun Wukong, but unfortunately, Sun Wukong was defeated by the Heavenly Army and fell into the hands of Emperor Shitian. Later, Tathagata rescued her from Emperor Shitian and entrusted her to the Dragon King of Tianyu Mountain, transforming her into a Dragon-Human and becoming the daughter of the Dragon King of Tianyu Mountain.
When the Heavenly Army attacked Tianyu Mountain, she was injured and transformed back into [Qijing]. She was rescued by Bai Lang and found Tang Sanzang to begin the journey to return the scriptures.
After Sun Wukong was rescued, she returned to her Dragon-Human form.
