Forty Millenniums of Cultivation is set in a high-tech Xianxia world, depicting the wars of cultivators in a vast universe, progressing from three-dimensional space to four-dimensional space. The story has a grand scope but remains logically sound. Unlike other works, Forty Millenniums of Cultivation spends a significant amount of time meticulously describing the antagonist characters. Each villainous boss leaves readers with admiration for their character and strategies, embodying the idea of “heroes cherishing heroes,” only differing in their ideals. The Dao Heart is considered the focus of the story and can be interpreted as a character’s worldview, with different Dao Hearts leading to different behaviors and views of good and evil.

Civilization Eras in the Story:

Ancient Cultivation Civilization – Ancient Cultivators: They treat humans as ants, sects kill each other, and they do not engage in production or construction, only focusing on “cultivation,” which is concentrating on developing military force to oppress mortals and other sects.

Demon Clan Dynasty – Classical Slavery System: “Humans are reduced to lowly slaves, losing their dignity, pride, and the most precious right to cultivate Qi.” Social classes are divided and solidified, implementing a policy of ignorance: “Destruction – Rebirth – Eternity.”

Countries in the Story:

Starsea Empire – Ancient Cultivators (As described above)

Starsea Federation – Modern Cultivators: “The mission of cultivators is to protect the weak.” They value “equality” between mortals and cultivators, knowing how to transform cultivation achievements (science) into people’s lives and productivity to improve efficiency and increase resources.

True Human Empire – Cultivators – Modern Slavery System: “In this universe, resources are limited. Wasting precious resources on ant-like weaklings will only lead to the slow decline of civilization.” They respect the law of the jungle, using any means necessary. As long as they can survive, they will not hesitate to use schemes and tricks, practicing extremely harsh elimination (a typical depiction of the Demonic Path commonly seen in Xianxia).

  • Li Yao: Aliases include: Vulture Li Yao, Demon Star, Sand Scorpion, Blood Vulture, Spiritual Vulture Shangren, Founding Father of the New Federation, Special Hero of the New Federation, Black Wind King of the Empire, High-Dimensional Universe Virus, Number One Expert in the Pangu Universe (self-proclaimed), Emperor’s Successor, Humanoid Calamity.
His soul comes from Earth and possesses the memories of Earthling Li Yao. By chance, he also merged with the memories of the Weapon Refinement Grandmaster Ouyezi from 40,000 years ago. His body can be described as a Starsea Fierce Weapon. Even without magical treasures, his body is so strong that it can be used as a magical treasure. He is also a bomb fanatic and is very good at executing decapitation tactics.
Later, he prevented Gu Wuxin from transmitting information about the Pangu Universe back to the Superbody (the Tide), detonated the God Giant Soldier Sun Calamity, and killed Gu Wuxin with the power of the Lightning of Life. Because the information about the Pangu Universe had been stored in the Superbody Starship, Li Yao self-detonated his Divine Soul and destroyed the Starship information.
Because the Starship activated a teleportation when it was destroyed, fragments of Li Yao’s Divine Soul fell into the Reincarnation Hell (i.e., Earth), were controlled by the Tide, and possessed the heroic spirits imprisoned on Earth awaiting reincarnation. Hong Jixing, the leader of Project Ark, tried to reunite Li Yao’s Divine Soul and raised Li Yao’s cultivation to the Integration Stage.
Li Yao saw through the secret of the Tide and led the heroic spirits in the endless universe to resist the Tide together. He mastered countless magical treasures, and Li Yao firmly believes that power is not the root of everything, so they are not listed in detail.
