Xiu Zhen Zhe Zai Yi Shi (修真者在異世), or “Cultivator in Another World,” is a novel by Yu Feng. The protagonist is Yue Cheng, a good-for-nothing who cannot cultivate Dou Qi or magic, and is therefore dumped by his fiancée, Yi Qian. Despairing of life, Yue Cheng chooses to end his own. Just as everyone thought Yue Cheng was dead, Lu Feng, a super Sanmo (loose demon), succeeded in surviving five tribulations, but failed on the last one. His body shattered, and his soul entered Yue Cheng’s body, taking control of his flesh and thoughts.

After hearing this introduction, you might find it similar to Tiancan Tudou’s Doupo Cangqiong (Battle Through the Heavens). But in terms of when they were released, Xiu Zhen Zhe Zai Yi Shi came out earlier than Doupo Cangqiong.

The story tells of Lu Feng, a super Loose Immortal who has experienced five heavenly tribulations. If he succeeded on the sixth, he would ascend to the Immortal Demon Realm, thus escaping the six paths of reincarnation of the three realms. If he failed, his soul would be scattered and he would cease to exist forever, unable to enter reincarnation again.
