To escape pursuit from her enemies, she lives in seclusion with her nanny on Immortal Island (仙灵岛), serving as the Young Mistress of Water Moon Palace (水月宫). Character Background

At the beginning of the world, there was a state of “chaos,” in which Pan Gu was born. Pan Gu continued to grow, and the chaotic space could not contain his entire body, so he raised the “clear air” to become the sky, and lowered the “turbid air” to become the earth. After Pan Gu’s death, his essence, energy, and spirit were decomposed into Fuxi, Shennong, and Nuwa – the three gods (also known as the Three Sovereigns).

In order to fight against the Demon Realm, Fuxi established a hierarchical system in the God Realm, proclaiming himself “Heavenly Emperor.” He decreed that gods were superior to humans, that the divine race would rule the heavens and the earth, and that humans must serve the gods, thereby expanding the God Realm’s control and rule over the human world. After thousands of years, the gods gradually became corrupt, and humans gradually hated the God Realm, eventually erupting in rebellion. The Heavenly Emperor forbade this and ordered the suppression, but faced with the strong resistance of the humans. In anger, the Heavenly Emperor ordered Nuwa to destroy humanity and create new humans to worship the gods. Nuwa disobeyed and descended to protect humanity. The Heavenly Emperor banished Nuwa from the God Realm and sent divine soldiers to destroy the heavens and the earth. Most of humanity was slaughtered, and Nuwa led the humans to resist the God Realm, repair the heavens and the earth, stop the floods, and save the survivors. Afterwards, the Heavenly Emperor realized his mistake and ordered all the gods to return to the Heavenly Realm, close the Heavenly Gate, and prohibit the gods from freely entering and leaving the human world. From then on, humans and gods were completely separated. Nuwa then sacrificed herself, and her descendants continued to live in the human world, shouldering the mission of protecting humanity for generations.

Zhao Ling’er is a direct descendant of Nuwa, shouldering the mission of saving humanity. Her father, the Witch King, is the king of the Nan Zhao Kingdom in Miao Jiang. Her mother, Lin Qing’er, is also a descendant of Nuwa, and was once the High Priestess of the Dali Bai Miao tribe. Later, Lin Qing’er married the Witch King and was known as the Witch Queen. The Nuwa tribe has passed down a single heir for generations, so Zhao Ling’er is not only the princess of the Hei Miao tribe, but also the sole heir to the throne, possessing a noble and unparalleled status in the world.

Personality Traits

Zhao Ling’er is like a lotus flower, blooming with beauty that fears no wind or rain, emerging from the mud without being stained. She is gentle, considerate, and does not fight. She is outwardly gentle but inwardly strong, understanding, and intelligent. She is pure, elegant, and tolerant, but never blindly forgives evildoers, and is often mistaken for a fairy or a Bodhisattva.

Since meeting Li Xiaoyao, her heart belongs entirely to him. Even after marrying Li Xiaoyao and forgetting the days she spent with him, she still loves him without complaint. After learning of the tragic fate of the Nuwa tribe, she still does not regret her love for Li Xiaoyao.

She possesses great love and tolerance. When disaster strikes, she chooses to face it bravely, sacrificing herself without hesitation to protect humanity.
