Lingbao Tianzun, a female deity (also known as Bao Ling Shangzun), is a significant character in “Westbound.”

One of the ancient Great Gods of the Three Pure Ones, the true leader of the Light Soul faction, and one of the three founders of the Heavenly Palace.

She is a will born from the chaotic atmosphere of the universe at the dawn of creation, ten thousand years ago. After being illuminated by the light of the [Scripture of Marvels (Eternal Fire)], she descended from the chaotic atmosphere, becoming one of the immortal ancient deities.

Unaffected by the Five衰 of Devas, she is as old as the universe itself. Without parents, she is a born deity, possessing a lifespan of ten thousand years, and was born in the same era as the ancient dragon Naga.

The two once led their respective factions in a great battle due to differing ideologies, resulting in the destruction of the previous generation of Heavenly Soldiers. This conflict was mediated by Daode Tianzun (The Grand Supreme Elderly Lord).

They entrusted the Heavenly Palace to Emperor Shitian and entered a thousand-year slumber.

After Yuanshi Tianzun was awakened, she followed him, appearing before the gods.

When the Asura attacked the Heavenly Realm, she decided to help the Heavenly Soldiers.

In a battle with Mad Rahu, her arm was injured.
