Character Introduction
Chen Mou, who named himself, is the Abbot of the Knowing Destiny Sect. Initially, he was just an ordinary Daoist in the Song Kingdom (宋国) but became the youngest person in history to break through the Five Realms (破五境).
Chen Mou is one of the most powerful figures in the world, second only to Master and Ke Haoran. He simultaneously cultivates in the Buddhist, Daoist, and Demonic schools, possessing the highest realms of all three: the Daoist’s Annihilation (寂灭), the Buddhist’s Immeasurable (无量), and the Demonic’s Heavenly Demon Realm (天魔境).
However, due to being in the same era as great figures like Master and Ke Haoran, Chen Mou does not have much fame in the world. He resides in the Knowing Destiny Sect for a long time, takes Ye Su as his disciple, and cultivates him to become a Daoist Walker (行走).
After Ke Haoran died in battle against Heaven, Master was enraged and ascended Mount Peach (桃山) for a massacre. Chen Mou and other powerful figures tried to stop Master but were defeated by him. Chen Mou was forced to flee to the South Sea (南海), afraid to return to the mainland.
In the South Sea, he married a pearl diver and fathered the Daoist prodigy Chen Pipí. Later, he encountered Long Qing, whose cultivation had been destroyed by Ning Que (宁缺), and helped him restore his Qi Sea Snow Mountain (气海雪山), while also taking him as a disciple.
After Master ascended to Heaven, Chen Mou returned to the mainland during the first war with the Tang Kingdom (唐国) and fought the Eldest Brother (大师兄) Li Manman (李慢慢) in a limitless battle across a thousand miles. He was held back for seven days and left a sword in Qingxia (青峡) before entering Chang’an City (长安城).
Chen Mou was successively stopped by Mo Shanshan (莫山山), Li Manman, Yu Lian (余帘), and his son Chen Pipí. In a confrontation with a terrifying formation, he broke through to the Realm of Purity but was ultimately defeated by Ning Que using the Human Character (人字符) – a symbol transformed from the power of the entire world – and became crippled.
Afterward, Chen Mou was rescued by his son Chen Pipí. On their way back, he encountered Sangsang (桑桑), who had become the Heavenly Daughter (昊天). Having reached the Realm of Purity, Chen Mou rejected the Heavenly Daughter and was punished by her, unable to recover his strength. Chen Pipí was also sealed in his Qi Sea Snow Mountain by the Heavenly Daughter and taken away.
During the Light Sacrifice (光明祭), Chen Mou began to suspect that the Heavenly Daughter was no longer the god he believed in. He launched a Daoist civil war, hoping to bring the Heavenly Daughter back to the Divine Kingdom (神国).
After the Heavenly Daughter and Ning Que left Mount Peach, Chen Mou returned to the Daoist Sect to manage affairs and believed that the Heavenly Daughter had gradually become human and was no longer able to protect the human world. He decided to implement the “Change Heaven” (换天) plan, using the Seven Volumes of Heavenly Books (七卷天书) and merging with the rules of the Divine Kingdom to seize the Heavenly Daughter’s godhood.
However, Chen Mou was ultimately killed by Ning Que and Sangsang, along with the power of the entire world, using the true Human Character. Before his death, Chen Mou saw a reborn world full of beauty and departed contentedly.
